PA to revive statehood bid on September 27

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced that on September 27 the Palestinian Authority will request the United Nations to vote on its bid to be recognized as a non-member state.

Abbas, who made the remarks at a press conference, also addressed the arson that took place at the Latrun Monastery, saying that "the settlements, the destruction of homes, the uprooted trees and the attacks on mosques and churches aren't random. The (assailants) don't work alone." (Roi Kais)
