High Court rejects petition on behalf of Eritreans at border fence

None

The High Court has rejected a petition filed by "We are Refugees" which demanded that Israel allow the 21 Eritreans camped out at the Israel-Egypt border for a week. Supreme Court President Justice Asher Grunis and Justices Hanan Meltzer and Neil Hendel explained that in light of the fact that three of the group were allowed into Israel and the rest left the area "There was no reason to leave the petition pending."

The judges did add that if the petitioners had complaints regarding the country's conduct, they were free to turn to the authorities and if needed, the courts. (Aviel Magnezi)
