Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with senior Hamas member Mahmoud al-Zahar in Tehran, the Iranian president's official website reported. According to the report, the Iranian president said that "the west was managing developments in the area to save the Zionist regime." He also called for a peaceful solution in Syria.
