Jerusalem bus pelted with stones; woman injured

Woman in her 20s hit in stomach after unknown assailants hurled stones on bus heading to Western Wall

A woman in her 20s was lightly injured on Sunday after being hit by a stone thrown at an Egged bus making its way to the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Police are scanning the area for suspects.

 

The woman was hit after a stone hurled at the bus shattered the window and hit her in the stomach. Magen David Adom paramedics called to the scene took her to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

Jerusalem Police said that the route leading up to the Western Wall is being secured in anticipation of the many visitors arriving at the area for the month of Selichot.

 

In August five Israelis were lightly injured after an Egged bus was pelted with stones in east Jerusalem.
