Palestinian official: We will lower VAT; no increase to petrol process

A senior Ramallah official said that the Palestinian government decided to take a series of steps in response to protestor demands over price of living. The official told Reuters-Arabic that during its meeting the Palestinian government decided to lower VAT by 0.5% and leave petrol and diesel prices at the current price.
Moreover, it was decided that minister and diplomatic staff would undergo a pay cut. (Roi Kais)
