Egypt: 14 injured in clashes outside US embassy

A security source at the Egyptian interior ministry said that a number of protesters rallying outside the US embassy in Cairo hurled stones and firebombs at security forces guarding the building. The forces were setting up a barbed wire fence around the embassy.
Three officers and 11 soldiers were hurt during the clashes. Nine suspects were arrested. The interior ministry called on the protesters to avoid violence. (Roi Kais)
