US ambassador tours Sderot, says feels safe in Israel

US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro said Thursday he feels "safe" in Israel during a tour of Sderot's fortified facilities. Shapiro said he was saddened by the death of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three embassy staff in Benghazi on Tuesday.
Commenting on the recent crisis between President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu, he said that the two had a "very good" conversation earlier this week and that security and strategic cooperation between the two nations has never been tighter. (Neri Brenner)
