Violent anti-US protest erupts in Afghan capital
More than a 1,000 Afghans poured onto the streets of Kabul on Monday, protesting violently against a US-made film deemed offensive to Islam, setting fire to cars and storage containers, police said.
Two police cars were among those set ablaze on Jalalabad road, where NATO and US military bases are located, Kabul police chief Mohammad Ayoub Salangi told AFP. (AFP)
