Haim Hefer, an Israeli songwriter and poet, has passed away at the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv. He was 86.
Hefer immigrated to Israel with his family from Poland in 1936, and joined the Palmach at the age of 17. He was one of the founders of the Chizbatron, the Palmach army troupe, and was its chief songwriter. (Ynet)
