Report: Assad's sister defects

Bushra Assad, embattled Syrian President Bashar Assad's sister, has fled Syria with her children, an unnamed "informed" source has told Al Arabiya. The news network also cited the opposition website All4Syria as saying the Bushra has arrived in Dubai and enrolled her kids in school there.

The report comes weeks after the woman's husband, Assef Shawqat, who was the deputy chief of staff of the Syrian Armed Forces, was killed by opposition forces. (Ynet)
