Tel Aviv: Activist threaten to jump from overpass

Eight activists threatened to jump off a pedestrian bridge in Tel Aviv on Wednesday while their peers blocked traffic on the road bellow, in an apparent attempt to call for social change.

The group gathered on the overpass connecting the two buildings that comprise the Dizengoff Center. They dispersed leaflets and threatened to jump. Large police forces have arrived in the region, and have launched attempts to convince the youths to come down from the bridge. A large mattress was installed below the overpass to break the activists' fall, should they decide to act on their threat. (Gilad Morag)
