Minister: Religion has nothing to do with daylight saving time
Science and Technology Minister Daniel Hershkowitz, who also chairs the Habayit Hayehudi party, argued against using religion as a rationale for switching to standard time early.
"Moving the clocks has nothing to do with religious affairs, and this saga must be put to bed," he said during Sunday's government meeting, noting that experts on the economy should be the ones deciding when standard time should be put into effect. (Moran Azulay)
