French interior minister: Jews can proudly wear kipa

French Interior Minister Manuel Valls announced Sunday that the Jews of France "can proudly wear their yarmulke!" The minister made his statement in response to the "hate speech" made by National Front party President Marine Le Pen.

The minister went on to wish France's Jewish community a happy Jewish New Year. (AFP)
