Clinton vows to investigate Benghazi consulate security issues
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pledged Tuesday to shed light on the security around the consulate in Benghazi before the attack of September 11, in response to Republicans who criticized the protection of the consulate.
In a letter released Tuesday, California Republican, Darrell Issa, said that "many federal officials confirmed that the US embassy in Libya had repeatedly called for a strengthening of security in Benghazi before the September 11 attacks." (AFP)
