Special team to crack down on 'price tag' vandals

Attorney General takes action against Jewish vandals; new enforcement team to include members of Shin Bet

Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein supportsestablishing a special team dedicated to dealing with intelligence, investigations and legal aspects of the "price tag" phenomenon, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday.
The team will include lawyers, defense officials and Shin Bet personnelwho will be asked to address various aspects pertaining to the the "price tag" phenomenon. Main obstacles are under age perpetrators, difficulty gathering intelligence and converting it to legal evidence.

On Tuesday, senior legal officials rejected accusations that the legal system is failing to provide the law enforcement authorities with sufficient tools to handel the phenomenon.
According the sources, on cases the Shin Bet pruduces sufficient evidence it receives the legal system's support including restraining orders.
As for declaring 'price tag' perpetratorsterrorists – it can only be done in cases of organized hierarchic activity and not in sporadic uncoordinated attacks, claimed a senior legal source.
