Ban: Syria, Turkey must exercise 'restraint'
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was "worried about the escalation of tensions on the border" between Syria and Turkey and asked "all stakeholders to show maximum restraint," said his spokesman Martin Nesirky.
Ban "calls on all parties to renounce violence, to exercise maximum restraint and to make every effort to move towards a political solution," he added. (AFP)
