BG airport: Fighter jets launched over suspicious object
Operations at the Ben Gurion Airport were suspended for several minutes early on Wednesday when a suspicious object was detected in the sky prompting fighter jets to be scrambled.
For security reasons it was decided to halt all departures and arrivals. Further checks revealed the object was not a hostile aircraft. Israel's air controls have been on heightened alert since the infiltration of a drone into Israeli last week. (Yoav Zitun)
