It appears that the cell belongs to the Mujahideen Shura Council, a Salafist group whose leader, Hisham Saidani, was killed in an Israeli attack on Saturday. Saidani was one of two top operatives belonging to the global jihad movement who were killed in Saturday's incursion. The two were planning to mount a terrorist attack on Israel and were known to be involved in hostile activity in the past.
