Israel's president has recognized Indian-born conductor Zubin Mehta for his contributions to Israeli society.
Mehta, music director for life of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, on Monday received Israel's Presidential Medal of Distinction. Other winners have included Henry Kissinger.(AP)
