Palestinians: We'll advance UN observer bid

The Palestinians' UN observer, Riyad Mansour has announced that the Palestinians are working to promote a UN General Assembly vote to accept Palestine as an observer state.
Mansour said the bid does not contradict the two-state solution, but Israel's UN ambassador Ron Prosor warned that upgrading the Palestinians' status would hinder peace negotiations. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
