US citizen dies during El-Al flight to New York

An elderly US citizen passed away during an El-Al flight from Tel Aviv to New York on Tuesday. A medical team treated the woman on the plane but was eventually forced to pronounce her dead.

A statement from El-Al said, "Sadly, all of our efforts to save her have failed. Airline representatives have contacted the family and are waiting with them at the airport in New York. This is an unusual event seldom encountered by airlines." (Shahar Chai)
