Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has sent a letter to US President Barack Obama, expressing willingness to resume peace negotiations with Israel once the Palestinian Authority obtains the status of a non-member state at the UN, according to a report in the WAFA news agency.
According to the report, Abbas reaffirmed the "Palestinian side's commitment to the two-state solution," Abbas aide Nimr Hammad told the news agency. (AFP)
