Egyptian envoy says Cairo committed to agreements with Israel

Incoming Egyptian Ambassador to Israel Atef Salem has presented President Shimon Peres with his letter of credence at a ceremony at the President's Residence.
President Peres told Salem that he believes that both nations' governments will do everything to preserve the peace treaty. He added that Egyptian President Moahmmed Morsi was right in expressing the need to restart negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. The ambassador said that Cairo is committed to all agreements signed with Israel. (Noam Dabul Dvir)
