The State Comptroller report criticized the acquisition of new fire-fighting planes for the aviation team established following the Carmel fire.
According to the report, the IDF recommended purchasing Canadian planes but due to shortage in supply in Canada, the IAF recommended using a different type of planes, thereby saving NIS 1 billion (roughly $263 Millions). (Yaron Druckman)
