Health Ministry advises pertussis vaccination

The Health Ministry urges the public to get vaccinated for pertussis, known as whooping cough, due to a rise in the number of pertussis patients in Israel and the world. According to Professor Itamar Grotto, director of Public Health Services at the Health Ministry, "pertussis vaccine is given to eighth-graders, but weakens over the years." (Carmit Reuven)
