Khamis Gaddafi, the youngest son of former Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi, was reportedly killed Saturday, Al Arabiya reported on Sunday.
The report cities several top sources in Tripoli, including Mohammed Maqrif, head of the Libyan National Congress.
According to the Saudi network, Khamis Gaddafi – who served as the commander of the Khamis Brigade in the Libyan Army – was severely wounded during clashes with government forces in Bani Walid, 170km from Tripoli, and died after being captured.
The clashes erupted exactly one year after Moammar Gaddafi's death.
