An Australian special forces soldier has been killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.
Australian Defense Force Chief Lt. Gen. David Hurley said the 24-year-old soldier was clearing a compound in the southern province of Uruzgan on Sunday when the improvised explosive device detonated. He was the 39th Australian soldier killed in the Afghanistan war. (AP)
