Lebanese security sources said on Monday that Israel was involved in the assassination of Lebanese intelligence chief Wissam al-Hassan, who was killed in a bombing on Friday, Lebanese daily As-Safir reported.
The report further said that al-Hassan's department had a role in breaking up over 25 Israeli spy rings inside Lebanon and had uncovered some 17 Israeli collaborators over the past few years. (Roi Kais)
