Metal thief sabotaging border alert system indicted
The Southern District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment with the Beersheba District Court against Amaram Assur, 55, for entering a restricted military zone and damaging army property.
According to the indictment, the accused had cut Israeli-Egyptian communication cables next to the border, in order to steal the metal securing in to place and as a result the security alert system malfunctioned. (Ilana Curiel)
