Magnitude-6.4 quake shakes Philippines
A magnitude-6.4 earthquake rattled the Philippine island of Mindanao early Saturday morning, the US Geological Survey reported.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries from the temblor, which hit at 2:17 am local time (18:17 GMT Friday). The USGS said the quake hit some 52 miles northeast of Butuan on Mindanao, and 517 miles southeast of Manila, the capital. (AP)
