Syria: Tanks entered buffer zone to purge Golan of gunmen
The Syrian regime said that the entrance of three tanks to the demilitarized zone in the Golan Heights was part of the army's attempts to establish control following efforts made by rebels to seize several villages.
The al-Watan newspaper said that the military has launched a wide-scale operation to purge the villages of armed militants. (Roi Kais)
