PM: I'm willing to start negotiations with Abbas today

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on statements made by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in an interview with Channel 2.

Netanyahu said: "I heard President Abbas' words. I heard he already recanted. This proves the importance of direct negotiations with no pre-conditions. As far as I'm concerned if Abu Mazen (Abbas) is truly serious and pro-peace we can meet today. Peace can only be pursued at the negotiating table and not by one-sided decisions." (Omri Efraim)
