4 killed while canyoneering in Venezuela

Four men died while exploring the rushing waters of a river on the jungle-fringed plateaus of southern Venezuela, officials said Sunday.

The Venezuelan men were killed in the area of Uruyen on Saturday, Bolivar state security official Julio Fuentes Manzulli told Venezuelan media. They were accompanied by two other tourists and a guide who survived, the newspaper El Universal reported. (AP)
