Diplomats: 'Credible information' that Syria uses cluster munitions

Syrian government forces are likely using cluster munitions while the rebels possess more sophisticated weapons, a senior UN official said Tuesday.

Syria has not ratified the Convention on Cluster Munitions, adopted by 107 countries in 2008, which bans the production, stockpiling, transfer and use of this category of weapons. (AFP)
