President Peres visits Moscow, says will not run for PM
President Shimon Peres told reporters in Russia that he has no intention to run in the upcoming elections. Peres made the remark while visiting the Russian Academy of Science where he received the title of Honorary Professor.
Peres further said: "I wish to thank all those who trust and support me but I am serving the state and its people these days, as I have done for the past five years. I will continue to do so as long as it's needed."
On Thursday Peres is expected to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. (Merav Yudilovitch)
