Barak: Israel will contemplate how to react to Gaza attack

Defense Minister Ehud Barak announced that Israel views with great severity the detonation of a booby-trapped tunnel on the Gaza border, south of Kissufim. As a result of the explosion one solider was very lightly wounded, and an IDF jeep, vacant at the time, was lifted into the air.

Estimates at this point are that the explosion, which created a hole 4 meters deep and 5 meters wide, was part of a larger attempt to pull off either a terror attack or kidnapping. According to Barak, Israel sees Hamas as solely responsible and is contemplating when and how to react. (Ynet)
