IDF Spokesman Brigadier-General Yoav Mordechai commented on the firing of a missile at Syria on Sunday. Mordechai said: "The guidelines are to retaliate to any firing that threatens us and has the potential to persist. We have no interest in getting between the rebels and the Syrian army. We wish to protect the Golan residents injured by stray fire."
IDF forces detected a hit next to the Syrian army's artillery brigade, which had apparently fired the mortar shell that exploded in Israel. Reports say there were no injuries. (Maor Buchnik)
