Arab newspaper: Israel protecting Assad
The London-based newspaper Al-Sharq al-Awsat published an editorial stating: "Israel is trying to protect Assad… the Israeli response to President Assad's military forces proves it is trying to deepen the Syrian crisis."
An official at the Free Syrian Army told the newspaper that the Syrian military has "no intention of starting a conflict with Israel." (Roi Kais)
