Abbas: International involvement to stop Gaza escalation
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the Israeli attack on the Gaza strip and demanded that all aggressions stop immediately. He requested that Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil Elaraby hold an emergency meeting with all the permanent members.
Taysir Khalid, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, said that the Palestinian president began communicating with Arab and international powers to intervene and stop the escalation and "Israeli aggression" in Gaza. (Elior Levy and Roi Kais)
