Putin to Netanyahu: Israel, Palestinians must avoid escalation

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a phone call to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel and Hamas must avoid further escalation in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement published by the Kremlin Putin called on both sides to to do everything in their power to halt all aggressions. (AFP)
