Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez condemned Israel's Operation Pillar of Defense on state TV dubbing it "savage and aggressive."
He further added, "Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stressed he would ask that the Palestinian Authority be accepted as a UN member, a realistic position, and yet – this was the response." (Ynet)
