Former South African Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, called for an end to the wave of violence in southern Israel and the Gaza Strip.
"Once again, the fanatics on both sides are attacking each other and pretending to act with the approval of God," Tutu said in a statement. (AFP)
