Mayors of Sderot, Beersheba, Ofakim and Ashkelon – all cities in Israel's south that suffered heavy rocket fire in recent days, expressed their doubts that a ceasefire agreement with Hamas should be trusted.
"As far as I'm concerned, a ceasefire is not some signed agreement, but a guarantee that a child in Sderot doesn’t wake up at night because of rocket fire," said Sderot Mayor David Buskila. "Why go back and make things worse?" asked Ashkelon Mayor Benny Vaknin. (Neri Brenner, Ilana Curiel)
