Published: 11.18.12, 09:42 / Israel News

Hamas's prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh, spoke on the phone with Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, in regards to ongoing efforts to bring about a lull in aggressions. Haniyeh expressed his respect, as well as support of the Egyptian efforts to broker a ceasefire.

However, he demanded guarantees and assurances for the cessation of Israeli 'aggression' towards the Gaza Strip. The conversation between the two lasted 20 minutes. (Elior Levy)
