Kuwaiti paper: Hamas dispute led Israel to Jabari's whereabouts

Published: 11.26.12, 13:47 / Israel News

A Kuwaiti newspaper reported that Hamas military commander Ahmed Jabari was killed by Israel after it managed to intercept calls revealing his whereabouts. The newspaper said Hamas has been plagued with disputes recently after Jabarai searched the home of the group's prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh. The search was ordered by Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal.

Sources told the newspaper that Israel stumbled upon the phone conversations while planning to take out Haniyeh. (Elior Levy)
