Report: Egypt seizes weapon shipment from Libya

Egyptian newspaper al-Ahram reported that security forces in Suez seized "a shipment of a large amount of heavy arms smuggled to Sinai." The report said the weapons shipment was smuggled via the Egypt-Libya border.

A preliminary investigation indicated the shipment contained 185 bullet crates, anti-tank and anti-aircraft artillery, rockets, RPG launchers, land mines and explosives - collectively worth some 20 million Egyptian pounds (roughly $ 3.3 million). (Roi Kais)
