PM 'disappointed' with Germany's decision to abstain from UN vote

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that like many others in Israel, he is disappointed with Germany's decision to abstain from the UN General Assembly vote on the Palestinian statehood bid.

 

Netanayhu, who is visiting the Czech Republic and is expected to leave for Germany in the evening, told the German paper Die Welt said that while Chancellor Angela Merkel thought the move would promote peace, it failed to do so. (AFP)
