Shas: Criticism of haredi draft exemption is hypocritical
Shas Knesset Member Nissim Zeev responded to the wave of political criticism regarding the exemption of haredim from the army, saying: "Those who attack this decision are hypocrites," explaining the attacks on the haredi public were just part of election propaganda.
Shas Chairman and Interior Minster Eli Yishai also responded saying that thousands of haredim are lining up to enlist and are sent away by the army, "who has no interest in them". (Akiva Novick)
