Ecuador: We would consider granting asylum for Assad
Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa said on Monday that his country would consider granting asylum for his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad if needed: "Any person seeking asylum in Ecuador, we will consider the request of course, as coming from a human being whose rights must be respected," said Correa to Brazilian daily Folha de Sao Paulo.
