Hanukkah's doughnut tradition explored

JN1's Sivan Raviv goes into kitchen to see how Jewish holiday's delicious sufganiyot are made behind the scenes

VIDEO - There are various traditions on the holiday of Hanukkah, celebrated this week by Jews around the world. Among them there's the daily lighting of candles in remembrance of the oil that lit the menorah for eight days long in the ancient Jewish temple, thousands of years ago.

And then there are the "sufganiyot" – special made doughnuts for the holiday.


In spirit of the holiday, we went back into the kitchen in order to explore how these Hanukkah treats are made behind the scenes.
